The Keener Family
Have been playing Bluegrass music since 1992, coming from a background of Country and Southern Gospel. Among other things they also have a
digital studio business Mackey has recently taken a position as Lake Ranger at the McGee Creek state park in southeastern Oklahoma  where they now live.

Theresa Keener: mandolin, bass, guitar, lead and harmony vocals,Theresa grew up in Indiana, daughter of a Pastor with a house full of sisters and of course became very proficient as a harmony singer singing Southern Gospel music, she has adapted very well to bluegrass and singing a teriffic lead, anything from bluesy Wayfaring Stranger to the Osborn Brother's Rocky Top and everything in between. Theresa began playing accordian at age 9 and graduated to piano at 18 and is an accomplished organist as well. Theresa does the booking for the band.

Mackey Keener: Guitar, harmony vocals and sound guru .Mackey grew up in Moore Oklahoma where he began his musical career at the age of 9 when his dad gave him a Stella guitar. He played in bands in high school and various groups along with his twin brother Danny. Mackey retired from the Oklahoma City Police Dept. with the rank of Sgt. after 22 years of service. He was a helicopter pilot for that Dept. and when he wasn't chasing bad guys he was doing rush hour traffic reports on KEBC radio in OKC. Mackey is very talented in electronics, computers, graphic design as well as a Taxidermist

Shane Keener:Bass,mandolin, guitar, banjo , lead and harmony vocals.
Son of Mackey and Theresa Keener, the youngest member of the band and has completed  his freshman year of college.. Shane has an energetic double and triple slap style on the upright bass that gets the attention of any audience, yet plays a smooth balanced solid rhythm, He keeps the band entertained and entertaining. Shane was in the winning band in the Youth competition at the 2002 International Bluegrass Festival in Guthrie Oklahoma, he is also an up and coming song writer with much promise.

Roy Barnes: Banjo, dobro, guitar, lead and harmony vocals and vocal impersonations
Roy and Judy Barnes live in Purcell OK, they have four children,six grandchildren and two great-grand children.Roy retired from Sprinklerfitters local 669 in 1999 with 33 years of service and now works part time as an Instructor for the Apprenticeship training dept .
He picked up the guitar at a very early age, his dad being a Jimmie Rodgers style singer/blue yodeler always had a guitar around. He went through his electric phase but came back to the solid roots music. After seeing the movie Bonnie&Clyde he knew he just had to be a banjo picker. He has played with several regional bands over the past thirty-five years, taking up dobro and mandolin along the way. Roy is a songwriter and has had several of his songs recorded by regional bands. visit his web site
